Hot Sweaty Moles

Updated: May 27, 2018

Dead moles soon start to sweat when the soil temperature is as high as it is at the moment. Anything removed within a couple of hours of being caught will still look and feel quite dry, but left in a trap over night and they are a damp mess in the morning. I can trap 20 to 30 moles a day at the moment without pushing myself, enjoying the warm working conditions. On this farm over the last 3 days I've covered just short of 80 miles on the quad bike setting, checking and removing traps. The farm cuts approximately 400 acres of grass in one go, which makes the quad absolutely essential.
