Having done so I will explain as much as you want to know about the work involved, but will automatically fully verify and clarify the pricing structure.
Lancashire Mole Control - Mole catching pricing and costs for homeowners.
Trap Setting Fee £15.00
Price per Mole Caught £15.00
Travel is charged at cost of fuel only
So one mole will cost £30.00, two moles £45.000 and three moles £60.00 plus fuel at cost etc.
If you are unfortunate enough to own a garden in which I catch more than 5 moles I wavier my Trap Setting Fee of £15.00.
And in situations where more than 10 moles are caught the Per Mole Fee will be reduced to £12.50, again with no Trap Setting Fee.
Remember, if I don’t catch your mole there is no charge what so ever.
A minimum of two visits are all that is normally required for a simple one mole problem, though sometimes more visits are necessary depending on the circumstances.
The vehicle I currently use for domestic mole control uses diesel at an average of 45 mpg.
Example:
You live 25 miles from Preston, one mole caught overnight with two return visits ususally works out at around £43.85. £30.00 for the mole and £13.85 fuel cost.
Mole control can begin immediately if you are happy with what I have explained.
Your location will have a direct influence over the final cost, not only because of the travel distance, but also due to the local mole population. Some gardens may get a mole and never have another for months or even years, others it can be a daily, weekly or monthly occurrence until all moles that are using your garden have been accounted for.
The worst case scenario is where there is a main run crossing your lawn, here it does not matter how many traps I put down, I will only catch one at a time, unless I can get traps further up and down the main run (which may be on someone else’s property). In these cases I often end up with just one trap in the lawn catching a mole a day for a week or more.
Just something to bear in mind, no two jobs are the same.
If your lawn is adjacent to farmland, woodland, common land or scrub and no mole control takes place there to keep the mole population under check, the chances of another mole visiting your garden are much higher.
